Missing my parents (general)

It's been almost 4 years since my parents left the UK for a new life in Malta & I still miss them more than I ever thought possible, especially on days like today - Mum's Birthday.
I know that it was the best move for them as their health is much better there & it's only a short flight away, but it does mean I can't be with them for every special occassion like I used to be - Birthdays, Anniversary, Christmas etc.
We do skype regularly but it's not the same as being able to hug them or kiss them on the cheek & I know our girls miss their Nanna & Nannu too.
So for those of you lucky enough to have family close by, don't pass up the chance to just pop over to visit, hold them & tell them how much they mean.
Don't put it off. Remember how lucky you are!
